Safely & Quickly Update to WordPress 5.x and PHP v7.x
1. Full Website Backup
Before updating your site, our team will first perform a full backup of your WordPress site.
- Backup of all WordPress core files
- Backup of all WP Plugin + Theme files
- Backup of all WP MYSQL Databases
- Malware + Security Scan Before Work
2. Update PHP version
To take advantage of the new speed and security benefits of WP v5.0 and above, we’ll update to PHP 7.1 or higher.
- Identify PHP Version of Current Hosting
- Test all Plugins for PHP 7.1 Compatibility
- Update PHP to v7.1 or higher
3. Update WP Core + Plugins
Now that we have a Backup and verified your hosting server is primed for WP 5.x, we’ll update all the important things 🙂
- Update WordPress Core to Latest Version
- Safely Update all WP Plugins (paid plugins will need a valid license)
- Perform Any Available Theme Updates
- Functionality Test + Verification
